Halloween is a time of fun, but revelers must be alert!

  • When walking in the dark always carry a flashlight.
  • Walk and make sure to stay on sidewalks.
  • If there is no walkway stay on the left side facing traffic.
  • Although there are many neighborhoods to reach in one night, staying in familiar neighborhoods is best.
  • Make sure children wear costumes that are easy to move in and feature reflective tape.
  • Only visit homes that are well lit.
  • Young children should be supervised.
  • Before children eat any candy, an adult should inspect it all and throw out anything that looks suspicious.
  • Go to http://www.sosnet.com/Safety/halloween.tip.html for more information.
